HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

We all enjoyed a much needed break for the Holiday. Carlee and James and DARLING Benson entertained us all...while JD, Tanner and his friend Alvin got in some ice fishing, basketball and lots of TURKEY!!!

OK I know that my car almost drives itself now! So nice to be able to sleep while driving!!
Thursday : BYU Volleyball vs. Air Force 3-0 sweep
Friday: shopping, shrimp dinner,Secretariat and a lot of laughs!
Saturday: early I-Hop breakfast,more shopping, Tanner's car purchase and more volleyball BYU vs.UNLV 3-0 sweep again!! YEA GO COUGARS!!
Sunday:Church and a LONG drive home :(

ONE FUN FALL!!!

I took Grandma Smith to Provo for an exciting weekend of volleyball games,Thai dinner,Benson,shopping,late night talks and loads of fun!! Grandma what a "college" gal you turned out to be!

BYU Volleyball...oh yea! We are so proud of you Coriann. GO COUGARS!!!
Oh Benson..walking at 10 months! You must know someone who is a good athlete? Dad and Mom!! Grandma loves seeing and kissing and hugging...etc.
Tanner was home for 24 hours this summer! we missed him sooo much. He is ow back at Utah State...studying??? hopefully!
Well...need I say he is 50 something? enough said!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND IN PROVO

What a fun time JD and I had in Provo this past weekend. The fun started Thursday as we quickly got to Utah in JD new little Audi! Sometimes I just closed my eyes and we would be 30 more miles down the road. But no tickets so all is good. That evening we cooked Alaska salmon, halibut and crab for the gang. Coriann invited Riley and Carlee and James loved all the fixins. Even Benson loves crab! A baby after my own heart. Friday we played tennis, walked the park, and Benson felt the need to PUSH his stroller all around. What a little "tuff" guy! Friday night BYU Volleyball against Nebraska...Coriann did great! Saturday more volleyball and the BIG BYU game! Yea Riley!! Someone (JD) got to be in the Sky Box with Firoz..and all the General Authorities, BYU Pres, and other "SPECIAL" people! Thanks Firoz you made the day!!! Sister Perry will never look at a football game the same way again!! Sunday Church, din din and games. And...sad home on Monday. What a fun trip!! Love you all.

A QUICK VISIT TO HOUSTON

OK...so if I didn't have enough travels in the past month...I needed one more trip! So here comes Grandma Benson...oh yea and I got to see Carlee, Tanner and James too! Carlee and I visited NASA,The Sam Houston Battle Ground and the Battleship TEXAS!

FUN WITH GRANDMA AND PAPA!!

What a fun couple of weeks...we made play dough,road horses,had cook- outs,took a LOT of baths,read soooo many stories,did fire crackers,fished,caught skunks,swan in the pond(only Preslie!)mowed a ton of lawn,fed the cow,made cookies and had a million KISSES!!

Could life be any better? LOVE YOU DALLIN,PRESLIE and PORTER!!

NO DIAPERS IN CHINA!!!

This was one of the MOST interesting things to me! I kept asking anyone who spoke any little bit of English...how do you potty train the kids! They use these split pants and they squat them all over constantly! But as you can see...no diapers!

The food was sooo incrediable...we enjoyed every meal...almost! But we tried EVERYTHING!!

JD and I loved our trip! Look at this fellow...he was making a homage trip to the Summer Palace north of Beijing. He didn't like me taking his picture, but I couldn't resist.

CHINA AND KOREA!!

JD and I had an another exciting adventure this past couple of weeks...we traveled EAST...to the FAR EAST! It was so interesting and the food was fabulous, the people were gracious, and the weather was very HOT! We were also able to return to his old mission area and see how much the Church has grown. The Temple is on the site of his old chapel, his last area.(he burned his suit in that parking lot! what memories!) His Korean was amazing...the people were so impressed. By the end of the trip he was dreaming in Korean again!

GRAMMY IN "BENSON-LAND"

So Carlee runs the Boston and I get the best job! We had so much fun, I forgot how fun it was to be with a baby all day.

Coriann moved into a new place, right across from the Smith Field House, where she spends her whole day. So the location is perfect. She also has some cute friends to live with. All is good in Provo!

Easter Weekend in Provo

JD and I went to Provo for a fun filled weekend! We arrived late Thursday night and then earl Friday morning we went to Coriann's BYU track meet. Little Benson is now an official track athlete!

Tanner came down from Logan to support! (and do laundry!) He also got his cast changed...good thing!!

ICE FISHING KING!!

JD has enjoyed this ice fishing season...and I have enjoyed the smoked fish. He has really got that down...the catch,the brine, the smoker time and then...eat and enjoy!! delicious dear!
